L’identité nationale hors-la-loi ?, Glissant et Chamoiseau lancent un appel contre ce « mur » qui menace la relation à l’autre, menace qui, dix ans plus tard, dans un contexte de crise migratoire, est toujours d’une actualité brûlante. Cette analyse textuelle, ouverte sur une lecture rhétorique et phénoménologique, sonde l’hypothèse suivante : plaidant pour un droit à la mobilité, l’essai articulerait étroitement ressentir et agir, comme si l’éthique de considération à l’égard du monde commun invitait à une pure praxis, celle d’utopies cosmopolitiques ancrées dans le divers de la réalité.
