Pour ce faire, nous mobiliserons la philosophie du langage développée par Deleuze et Guattari. En effet, en raison des nombreuses analogies entre la structure énonciative de ces chants et cette philosophie, cette dernière semble constituer un terreau favorable pour traduire cette structure dans notre matrice conceptuelle occidentale. Une telle traduction nous permettra non seulement de nous libérer de l’idéal de communication – si cher à certaines théories linguistiques – mais également de souligner l’intérêt pour notre philosophie du langage et de la littérature d’aborder des matériaux non occidentaux. Following some of the insights of Viveiros de Castro’s Amerindian perspectivism, this article aims to extract an Amazonian language theory from warrior chants of the Awareté – an indigenous people from Eastern Brazil. To that end, we shall draw on the philosophy of language developed by Deleuze and Guattari. Indeed, due to the numerous analogies between the enunciative structure of those chants and that philosophy, the latter seems an opportune breeding ground for translating the former into our western conceptual toolbox.
