Special issue on Tribomechadynamics
Tribomechadynamics – the integration of tribology, contact mechanics, and structural/nonlinear dynamics to understand how mechanical energy flows through and is dissipated by a structure – has recently evolved as a new approach for studying the dynamics and wear of jointed structures.
This special issue aims to highlight the recent research and the challenges facing the field of Tribomechadynamics over the next decade. Both technical articles, invited contributions from researchers that laid the foundations for the field of
Tribomechadynamics, and a perspective article that resulted from the fifth international workshop on joint mechanics are included in this special issue.
