p. 209-227

Abstract

Meaning extraction from text documents is a form of information management. The approach suggested in this paper is based on Peirce's semiotic which, by virtue of its deeper foundation, provides us with an adequate modelling of the information content of langage. we exemplify the potential of the Peircean approach by extracting the meaning of a sample English text.
