A Possible Symmetry Between Bradyons and Tachyons

Faster than light tachyons are generaly considered as hypothethical particles. Bradyons, subluminal particles, are part of our common world. We are interested in the interaction between bradyons and tachyons, assuming they exist. The collision between them is well described by the conservation of energy and momentum. Bradyons are caracterized by rest mass m or fundamental energy (c = 1) ; tachyons by pseudo-mass M or fundamental momentum. A bradyon initially at rest is supposed to absorb a tachyon. The bradyon then recoils with a kinetic energy T given by T = M2/2m depending only of two fundamental constants m and M. This would be the base of the tachyo-electric effect. We consider in this paper the possible symetry between bradyons and tachyons.

The Theory of Infinite Momentum Frames

Infinite momentum frames (IMF) have been first introduced by J. Kogut and L. Susskind (1973) in the theory of partons. The concept of infinite momentum frames (IMF) have been developed by R. Dutheil (1984) on the basis of complex rotations group in a pseudo Euclidean space. In the present communication, we re-examine in section 2, the different definitions of IMF proposed by these authors : we criticize the not allowed renormalization of « divergent coordinates » done by J. Kogut and L. Susskind, we abstract the development by R. Dutheil of a two dimensional infinite momentum frame (IMF-2) from considerations on the subluminal and the superluminal Lorentz groups, we criticize the generalization to a four dimensional infinite momentum frame (IMF-4) proposed by R. Dutheil and G. Nibart. In section 3, we study the relativist transformations of two dimensional infinite momentum frames (IMF-2), which correspond to a subluminal Lorentz transformation or a superluminal Lorentz transformation. In section 4, we propose a new mathematical concept of IMF based on isotropic vectors and having any number of dimensions. In section 5, we re-examine the relativist quantum theory in IMF-2 developed by R. Dutheil, we propose a generalization of the Klein, Gordon and Fock equations in IMF-4, and we discuss the generalization by R. Dutheil of the Dirac equations to 4 dimensions.

A Relativisfic Model of a Particle-Antiparticle Pair may Break up the E.P.R. Paradox

A special theory of Relativity in the space-like region has been developed by R. Dutheil and A. Rachman (1,2,3,4) with the tensor formalism and using Tachyonic Referential Frames (TR-F). Now two different theories of Relativity built on two different metrics, define two different Lorentz groups which respectively transform two types of referential frames: Ordinary Referential Frames (ORF) for one theory, Tachyonic Referential Frames (TRF) for the other. The both theories of Relativity may describe the same event in the physical space: so they need to be unified. In some previous papers R. Dutheil and G. Nibart have shown that particles having a superluminal velocity, named tachyons [5,6] may exist [7] and do not violate the Causality Principle [8], and according to our reinterpretation principle, the Tachyon Bradyon Identity Principle (TBI Principle) [7] they will always be perceived by any natural observer, using Ordinary Referential Frames (ORF), as being antiparticles having a subluminal velocity. ln the present communication we attempt a unification of the time-like region theory and the space-like region theory into a six-dimensional manifold, where the Lorentz transformations are generalized. Here, the light barrier appears as a mathematical singularity that can be removed by a pure algebraical method which eliminates time coordinates (time and energy) from both four-dimensional theories. ln this new model, time (the function t) is not a coordinate, but it is an "observable" and by definition, it is not reversible. The equation of Klein, Gordon, and Fock can be written in a six dimensional manifold. The Dirac equation can also be written in a six dimensional manifold where it has more conveniently no negative energy solutions. Furthermore, a pair of particles - here a tachyon (i.e. an antiparticle) and a bradyon#can be considered as one unique event in a timeless six-dimensional space. As its wave function may propagate in two different physical ways, we think this new conception of a particle pair will soon break up the E.P.R. paradox.

The Theory of Infinite Momentum Frames (continued)

In a previous communication [1], G. NIBART (2001) has proposed a general definition of infinite momentum frames (IMF) from a mathematical point of view which allows to consider IMF with any number of dimensions. In the present communication, we try to build a new concept of space time with IMF. For this purpose, we study some assumptions about infinite momentum frames having n dimensions (IMF-n) : a) usual referential frames can be deduced from IMF-n (with n ≥ 4), b) IMF basis vectors can be associated to spinors. We also illustrate some particular IMF-n instances with the following examples: definition of spinors in an IMF-2, expression in an IMF-2 of the longitudinal Doppler effect including the case of tachyons, and application of IMF-6 to the "6 dimensional universe" [2] which has been defined by G. NIBART (2000).

Tachyons in Astrophysics

In paper 1 (Steyaert 1999) we showed that the tachyon (v>c) concept was a valid one with numerous applications in astrophysics. If every star is emitting a copious amount of tachyons. one for each central photon, then it could well be that the dark matter problem is sol\ ed by energetic tachyons surrounding the Galaxy and the cluster of galaxies. At the beginning of the years 1980, nuclear physicists have obtained a value of the compressibility parameter K of nuclear matter. They found a value of 300 ± 25 MeV at variance with the commonly accepted value of 210 ± 30 MeV. In this short note we want to show that it is possible by combining the observation of the jet at 0.2601 c ejected by SS433 with parameters of the neutron stars to determine K by an other way and to find again a value around 300 MeV. Moreover the radius and mass of the neutron star imbedded in SS433 are found to be 11.4 Rsun and 2.288 Msun respectively.
