Abstract
Photoelectric spectra of pulsating aurorae have been recorded. Various intensity ratios have been obtained. From the v" progressions, the problem of atmospheric opacity below 4000 Å is considered. The values point to much higher absorption than accepted for astronomical observation and may be due to abnormal ozone concentrations.
