Abstract

Studies relating to the evolution of the physicochemical parameters of two plants in particular Euphorbia hirta and Secamone afzelii, according to the 4 seasons of the year in order to indicate the best season of collection on the one hand and the optimization of output of extracted aqueous, on the other hand were undertaken. The studied physicochemical parameters are: moisture, proteins, sugars total, fat contents, ashes, pH. In addition, the evaluation of the lactogenic capacity of these two plants in mature female rats (Wistar) was investigated. The results obtained indicate significant interactions between the plant species and the four seasons of the year for the studied physicochemical parameters. Thus the nutrients (total proteins, sugars, fat content, ashes), able to constitute a nutritional contribution remain appreciably high during the dry seasons, moreover, the aqueous extract presents a not very acid medium. The analysis showed that the best outputs of aqueous extracts come from dry plants. In addition, the lactogenic capacity is significant in both plants.
