Résumé
Ce travail consiste en la détermination, dans le champ complexe puis dans l’axe réel, du bassin d’attraction B de l’attracteur Cantorien de Feigenbaum. La frontière dB de ce bassin coïncide, dans le cas complexe, avec l’ensemble de Julia d’un polynôme quadratique. Le tracé de cet ensemble montre que celui-ci posséde une structure fractale. On utilise ensuite une variante de l’algorithme de "Box-counting" pour estimer la dimension fractale de cette frontière.
Abstract
The aim of this work is the determination of the attractive basin of the well-known Feigenbaum chaotic attractor. In the complex plane, the boundary of this basin is identical to the Julia set of a quadratic map, and exhibits a fractal structure. The capacity and the information dimension of this boundary are estimated using a modified box-counting algorithm.
