Spatial distribution of pores in translucent alumina studied with a confocal scanning laser microscope

Abstract

The spatial distribution of pores in translucent alumina was studied with a confocal scanning laser microscope, computer based image analysis, and spatial statistical methods. The analysis suggested that the pore centroids were clustered within a range up to about 15 µm.
