Abstract

The aim of this paper is to describe and explain shortly the evolution of the « socialization » policy towards Polish rural regions. The paper covers the whole postwar period. It shows the substantial dilemma of Polish communists, never solved : How to control thoroughly the countryside and, at die same time, to induce the farmers to produce much and cheap ?
