Abstract

Spatiality is not an unambiguous notion, but it highlights spatial and territorial approaches, and therefore territoriality. Spatiality does not exist without its spatial dimension that is part of a social space. However, governance is not specifically spatial, space actually being not the central issue. The concept of geogovernance has been developed to integrate spatiality. Thus, it soon became necessary putting geogovernance through field test. The development of a heuristic approach allowed us to carry out several experiments within the framework of real territorial projects and to compare them thanks to the setting up of a reading grid towards a comparative analysis. The introduction of spatiality through geogovernance reveals both levers and blockages to the sharing of spatial knowledge in the context of territorial projects.
